China Education and Science Academy Zhonghai Experimental Primary School and Zhonghai Kindergarten is a newly built public primary school in Yinzhou District, which officially opened on September 1, 2016. The school is located in the Zhonghai International Community, Xiaying Street, Yinzhou District, adjacent to the Ningbo No. 1 Kindergarten branch. The school covers an area of 21,878 square meters, with a construction area of 13,134 square meters, equipped with 36 ordinary classrooms and the corresponding functional classrooms.In July 2015, the Zhonghai Experimental Primary School signed a contract with the Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences, determining the schooling philosophy of “sailing the China Sea, setting sail for a dream”, and taking “ Upright and energetic as a person, and embraces all rivers as a learner “ as its motto.
The combination of Chinese enclosed space and western open space is the main characteristic of the project. Secondly, the project uses the axis relationship to form a rational connection between the city and the campus. The site form introduces two axes, horizontal and vertical, the horizontal axis points to Ningbo Airport and the vertical axis points to Ningbo City.
The activity site is placed in the northwest of the axis, forming an interaction and echo with the community landscape, and at the same time as a transition between the community and the school. The northeast of the axis faces the secondary road of the city, which is relatively quiet and safe for the kindergarten land, and the south site is for the primary school land. The activity land is enclosed by the teaching building and the community, forming a space similar to the courtyard. Facing the urban courtyard, it has introversion and openness, and facing its own courtyard, it has interaction and freedom.
